FAQ
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is based on size (L×W×H), wood species, finish, and any options (power grommets, engraving, etc.). Send rough dimensions and preferences and we’ll reply with a clear quote and timeline.
What are typical lead times?
Made-to-order furniture usually takes 4–8 weeks. Cutting boards and coasters: 3–7 days. We’ll confirm your specific timeline in the quote.
Do you deliver or ship?
Yes. Local delivery is available and quoted by address. Larger tables can ship by freight (white-glove available). Pickup from our workshop is free.
What deposit or payments are required?
For custom builds we typically take a deposit when you approve the quote, and the balance is due before delivery/pickup. Your invoice will list the exact amounts and due dates.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Minor changes are usually fine within 48 hours of approval. Larger changes may affect price and timeline. Once materials are cut/finished, changes may not be possible.
What’s your warranty/returns policy?
Custom work is final sale, but workmanship is covered—if something we built fails under normal use, we’ll repair or replace it. Natural movement of solid wood (small seasonal gaps or hairline checks) is normal and not a defect.
What woods and finishes do you offer?
Common choices: walnut, white oak, red oak, maple, and ash. Finishes: matte or satin oil/wax or hardwax finishes for a natural look; we’ll recommend the best finish for your use case.
Do you do anodizing?
Yes—small-batch anodizing for aluminum parts. Send the alloy (if known), part dimensions, quantity, and any color/finish goals. Turnaround depends on batch size and color.
Care Guide
- Dust with a soft cloth; wipe spills promptly.
- Use coasters/trivets; avoid standing water and direct heat.
- Avoid harsh chemicals; mild soap + damp cloth is enough.
- Oil/wax surfaces as needed (when the top looks dry). Apply thin, let it soak, buff dry.
- Keep 2–3" from heat vents and out of direct sun where possible.
- Use felt pads under décor; lift—don’t drag—heavy items.
- Small scratches: rub in a matching wax crayon or blend with finish restorer; contact us for deep repairs.
- Hand-wash only; never soak or put in dishwasher.
- Sanitize with diluted vinegar; remove odors with lemon + salt.
- Oil monthly (or when dry) with food-safe mineral oil; for extra protection, finish with a board wax.
- Wipe clean; avoid soaking. If finish dulls, wipe on a thin coat of oil/wax and buff.
- Dust with dry cloth. Use bulbs within the socket’s rated wattage and follow shade/bulb manufacturer guidance.
Anodizing: how should parts arrive?
Provide parts clean and free of oils/adhesives. Surface finish before anodizing (brushed, bead-blasted, polished) will affect the final look. We’ll advise best prep when quoting.
